Programs for Scouts

We offer these programs for boy scouts, girl scouts and similar youth groups. Programs are offered at Beechwood Farms Nature Reserve (Fox Chapel) and Succop Conservancy (Butler, Butler County).

Scout Badge Days, offered each Fall and Spring. We offer partial fulfillment of select badges, electives and other achievements. We focus on the nature-related requirements, and may leave some of the elements for you to to complete. Programs are designed to be multi-sensory and hands-on. Indoor and outdoor activities encourage scouts to explore the natural world.

Reservations are made by troops, rather than individuals. Badges are selected on a first-come-first-serve basis. We may group together several smaller troops working on the same badge. Registration is required, and full payment for all scouts is required at the time of registration. Badge Day programs are two hours. Cost is $7.50 per scout; payment is required in full at the time of reservation.  We can also schedule badge programs with individual dens outside of Scout Badge Day. Fee is a flat $125 for up to 20 scouts. Feed is paid at the time of reservation and is non-refundable. Availability is limited.
Badges offered include:

Daisy or Tiger: Programs upon request

Brownies: Outdoor Adventurer, Water Everywhere, and/or Eco-Explorer

Wolf: Arrow Point #13 Birds

Bear: Sharing Your World With Nature

Junior Girls: Earth Connections and/or Wildlife

Webelos: Forrester and/or Naturalist
