Christmas Bird Count History and Training - Beechwood

Want to learn about and participate in the world longest running community science program? Learn how you can help count birds for science while you examine trends on how our bird populations are faring. This program will help you identify some of the most commonly observed birds for Audubon’s annual Christmas Bird Counts. Beginners welcome! This includes a classroom session on bird identification, the history of the Christmas Bird Count, and a short birding walk, conditions permitting.  Appropriate for both adults and interested youth. Free, but please note that REGISTRATION is required and attendance is limited.
