Teacher Workshops

Over 750 teachers participate annually in ASWP's professional development. All workshops are designed to enlist classroom teachers in ASWP's mission to create environmentally literate students. They address national and state science and environmental standards. Both ASSET and the Regional Math/Science Collaborative approve all workshops. Many are offered for in-service credit through the Allegheny Intermediate Unit. Several are offered in collaboration with the Pittsburgh Zoo, the Carnegie Museum of Natural History and the National Aviary.

We are an Act 48 approved provider.

We also offer Act 48 hours for our Public Programs that are relevant to teachers. See our Events Calendar; Act 48 eligibility is noted in the event description. For more information on current workshops scheduled as well as opportunities for scheduling a workshop for teachers in your school or district, contact our Director of Education or call 412-963-6100.
