What’s happening at Audubon

Young Eastern Screech-Owl Did you know owls have tube-shaped eyes that are not able to rotate? Head bobbing is a way for them to triangulate how far objects are away. Other birds of prey do the same. Note: this owlet was perched outside of a window and was not approached when filmed. Thank you to the homeowners for inviting us into their home to observe these owlets. Please respect young birds during this time of year and keep a safe distance. 📸D Mendenhall
