Birding Trail Guide
Call for Submissions for the Western Pennsylvania Birding Trail Guide

Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania is embarking on an
exciting project, in conjunction with the Department of
Conservation and Natural Resources. Next Spring, we plan to
unveil our Birding Trail Guide to Western Pennsylvania. We
need your help.
The Birding Trail Guide will highlight 50 birding hot spots, and we are seeking nominations for these locations. Each selected location will be included in the Guide, along with relevant information including a location description (overview of landscape, as well as parking, handicapped accessibility, restrooms, and seasonality) and a map of the area. The Guide will serve as a companion piece to the existing Susquehanna River Birding and Wildlife Trail Guide, and to a new birding guide being created for the eastern part of the state. Our Guide will be distributed throughout the state to encourage tourism and birding.
To nominate a site, please download a nomination form below,
and return it to Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania by
December 31, 2008. A selection committee will
make the final decisions. Once those decisions are made, we may
need to contact you again for additional information regarding
your nomination.
To thank you for assisting us with this project, we will send you one copy of the completed Guide. Nominations are due by December 31, 2008.
